Teahupo'o translates, roughly, to "wall of skulls" - a name locals trace back to an old battle, long before anyone thought to surf the reef it's named for. The wave backs it up: a heavy, glassy left breaking on Tahiti's south coast, thick enough to have hosted an Olympic final and photographed so often from inside the barrel that everyone's seen it, even people who don't surf. On the shirt, that's the same barrel cropped into the shape of Tahiti, a vanilla flower and a small globe marking exactly where the island sits.
Roomy without being boxy. The collar sits soft and relaxed, the cotton softens with wear, and the print settles in rather than sitting stiff - built for watching from the channel, the long drive down to where the pavement runs out, or replaying the swell forecast on quieter days.

Teahupo'o sits at the literal end of the road on Tahiti's south coast, past the last village, where the pavement stops and the reef pass begins. It's one of the heaviest waves anywhere, a thick, glassy left that breaks close enough to the reef that photographers shoot it from inside the barrel, and has drawn the world's best to the Billabong Pro for over two decades. Hosting the Paris 2024 Olympic final meant building a new judging tower out on the reef itself, which drew real protest from locals over the damage to the coral it sits on. Even an Olympic stage couldn't talk the wave into softening its name.
